    Direct Sales Officer

    Job Summary

    The Direct Sales Officer will be responsible for promoting, onboarding, and driving active usage of the bank’s application. The role focuses on acquiring new app users, activating existing customers on the app, and increasing transaction volume and product adoption across the bank’s digital channels.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive mobile app downloads, onboarding, and activation for new and existing customers.
    • Educate customers on using the bank’s app for transfers, bill payments, airtime/data, savings, loans, and investments.
    • Convert walk-in and field customers into active digital users.
    • Increase monthly active users (MAU) and transaction frequency on the app.
    • Cross-sell and upsell in-app products such as target savings, fixed deposits, Investment, digital loans, and utility payments.
    • Support customers with first-time login, PIN setup, biometric activation, and basic troubleshooting.
    • Conduct market activations, branch campaigns, and community outreaches to promote the app.
    • Gather customer feedback on app usability, bugs, and feature gaps and escalate to relevant teams.
    • Ensure full KYC compliance during digital onboarding.
    • Maintain accurate records of app sign-ups, activations, and usage metrics.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • At least 2 years experience in direct sales or digital sales, fintech, deposit mobilization, relationship management, microfinance banking, or customer acquisition roles within a microfinance bank or financial institution.
    • Strong knowledge of microfinance products and customer acquisition strategies.
    • Strong understanding of mobile banking, USSD, and digital payment products.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Target-driven and able to work effectively in the field.
    • Good understanding of KYC, AML, and CBN regulatory requirements.
    • Basic computer skills and familiarity with core banking applications is an advantage.
