Role Description

• This is a full-tie me on-site role for a Dietitian at Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja.
• The Dietitian will be responsible for providing nutritional counseling, creating individualized medical nutrition therapy plans, and promoting overall health and wellness for patients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing personalized nutrition plans for patients based on their health needs and medical conditions.
• Offering pre- and post-operative nutritional guidance for bariatric surgery patients, including those undergoing gastric balloon and other weight-loss procedures.
• Managing comprehensive weight loss programs, including meal planning and nutritional support for patients with obesity.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into treatment plans.
• Educating patients on long-term lifestyle and dietary changes to promote overall wellness and prevent chronic conditions.

This role requires hands-on interaction with patients on-site, ensuring comprehensive care and support throughout their health journey.

Qualifications

• Dietetics and Nutrition skills
• Experience in Nutritional Counseling
• Proficiency in Medical Nutrition Therapy
• Weight Management expertise
• Knowledge of bariatric surgery and gastric balloon procedures is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Licensed to practice as a Dietitian in Nigeria
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
