    Job Summary

    • Diagnostic Medical Science Liaison/Partner, Nigeria will function as a subject matter expert on oncology biomarker testing related activities in Nigeria.
    • This role will collaborate with other stakeholders and serve as a leader for local process improvements and implementation of local strategies for patient testing. This role will report to the Country Medical Director.

    Job Description
    The role entails the following responsibilities:

    • Assess oncology testing landscape to develop evidence-based information for medical planning, strategic review and biomarker testing system strengthening
    • To collaborate with stakeholders to build a strong network, knowledge sharing and leadership that will drive scientific knowledge exchange, access and standardization of specific Tissue Biomarker testing for breast cancer in Nigeria.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and improve access to  companion diagnostics
    • Identify gaps and provide technical and scientific support to Health Care Practitioners(HCPs) and healthcare institutions in order to successfully implement specific oncology testing strategies.
    • Work closely and collaboratively with Roche Diagnostic team to define biomarker objectives, enhance testing initiatives, maximize and leverage our partnership
    • Manage Key Opinion Leader relationships and interactions with external stakeholders (Surgeon, Pathologists and Medical Laboratory Scientists) for the purpose of establishing and strengthening relationships in order to deliver on set objectives.
    • Deliver medical education for HCPs, develop and deliver scientific training and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop local guidelines, SOPs to guide biomarker testing and quality assessment
    • Develop, communicate, implement agreed Biomarker strategies and develop action plans to support Roche strategic testing objectives as outlined in the different therapeutic areas
    • Generate and implement new concepts aimed at standardizing Biomarker testing and improving accuracy to internationally accepted standards in both Public and Private sectors.
    • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with, and is the primary contact for, key stakeholders.

    Requirements
    In order to set you up for success you require the following qualifications, Mindset and Behaviors:

    • University Degree or equivalent in a Medical / Science-related field. Understanding of laboratory processes is an advantage
    • Proven working experience in diagnostic healthcare setting with a minimum of 2 years experience
    • Experience in project management is an advantage
    • Local travel required.
    • Good stakeholder management and the ability to effectively collaborate across a global organization.
    • Ability to influence, act as a change agent, build consensus and manage conflict in challenging situations.
    • Ability to work as part of a team.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent listening and decision-making skills.
    • Well-organized, detail oriented professional and ability to prioritize and make decisions.
    • Highly self-motivated; able to lead initiatives with authority.
    • This role will be based in Lagos, Nigeria
    • This role is a contract job for 1 year as a start.
