    Deputy Motorpool Supervisor

    The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Deputy Motor pool Supervisor position in the General Services Office. The U.S. Mission in Nigeria supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA). All genders are welcome to apply.

    Duties

    Under the direct supervision of the Motor Pool (MP) Supervisor, incumbent serves as Deputy MP Supervisor and back up dispatcher in the Motor pool section of the General Services Office (GSO).

    Directs, coordinates, and plans services provided by the MP Office. Responsibilities include scheduling of boat Pilots, Truck Drivers, Chauffeurs/Motor Cycle Drivers, Dispatchers, and armored vehicles, ensuing that they meet requirement expectations as per internal rules and regulations. Procuring and tracking maintenance services; recording all motor pool activities in appropriate databases and preparing reports.

    Education Requirements: Completion of Secondary School is required.  

     

    Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience on vehicle fleet management is required. One year of experience in supervisory position is required.

    Job Knowledge: 

    Knowledge of host country motor vehicle practices, traffic laws, vehicle licensing, registration, and procedures, good knowledge of fleet management, and safety norms are required. Must be able to write clearly, read and comprehend documents.

     

     

    Skills And Abilities:

    The following skills and abilities are required:

    • Must have class B or D valid Nigerian driver's license. Good working computer skills to use MS Office (word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook) and motor pool applications is required.
    • Must have excellent supervisory, organizational and communication skills and must understand training manuals and instructions to synthesize training materials into real life skills.
