Job Description

• Ensure all equipment/operation tools in the dental surgery are in good working condition, this should be done daily before operations resumes.
• Report on all faulty equipment in the dental surgery as soon as possible to the maintenance unit with sent email using the intranet communication and forwarded to the head of the unit.
• Ensures materials for daily operations are adequate in the dental surgery unit by daily checkup.
• Requisite necessary materials or equipment from the store or raise for purchase through local/international suppliers using the ACL requisition portal or form.
• Ensure cleanliness of the surgery unit by keeping to its structuring and engaging the hospital assistant as deem fit.
• Attends to all routine scaling and polishing as when called upon and working within the stipulated time frame: routine (45 minutes) and smokers (1 hour, 30 minutes )
• At above procedure…(9), personnel must communicate to the client on what to be done smiling and with confidence-based knowledge that will culminate trust and cooperation from the client.
• Assist as a dental assistant/chaperone during all operational dental procedures with interest and enthusiasm both to learn and see operational objective achieved.
• Charged with the responsibility of daily sterilization of dental working instruments using the autoclave machine and disinfection of all surgery equipment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution.
• Valid license to practice dental therapy in Nigeria from the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria.
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current dental therapy practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
