The Dental Nurse provides chairside support to dentists, hygienists, and therapists, ensuring high standards of patient care, infection control, and practice efficiency. The role involves assisting with clinical procedures, maintaining equipment and records, and supporting patients throughout their dental care journey.

Patient Care

• Welcome and prepare patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and reassurance.
• Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions under the dentist’s guidance.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards of patient care.

Administrative Duties

• Accurately record patient information and treatment notes.
• Handle patient records in line with data protection regulations.
• Assist with stock control and ordering of dental materials.

Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to health, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Assist with equipment testing, maintenance, and sterilization.
• Participate in audits, staff training, and continuous professional development (CPD).

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma/Certificate in Dental Nursing (or equivalent).
