Job Summary

• Our client, a leading multinational company in the FMCG sector headquartered in Lagos, is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to
• join its sales and distribution team. The role is pivotal in ensuring accurate demand forecasting, optimizing inventory, and aligning supply
• chain processes to meet business objectives within the wholesale channel.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the monthly demand forecasting process by analyzing historical sales data, pricing, discounts, and promotional activities.
• Collaborate with business heads to create joint demand forecasts.
• Oversee the monthly order planning process based on agreed forecasts, goods in transit (GIT), open orders, and established stock norms.
• Monitor and track GIT and pending shipments from principals, ensuring timely updates and resolutions.
• Actively participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) with principals, driving alignment and ensuring execution of monthly supply plans.
• Manage daily warehouse stock replenishments, coordinating closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure planned stock movements.
• Maintain and control inventory at the SKU level, adhering to set norms and preventing stockouts or overstocking.
• Prepare and present detailed MIS/KPI reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or data analysis, with exposure to sales or warehousing/logistics.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management practices and principles.
• Strong analytical skills with a solid grasp of mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
