Delivery Driver (Lagos) at Integrated Dairies Limited (IDL)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain refrigerated delivery vehicles in compliance with company and road safety regulations.
• Load and unload temperature-sensitive goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Monitor and record temperature levels during transportation to maintain cold chain standards.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers, maintaining high standards of service.
• Keep accurate delivery logs, temperature records, and proof of deliveries.
• Adhere to health, safety, and food safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure refrigeration systems are in proper working order.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent with 2-10 years experience; additional technical/vocational training is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably in cold chain logistics.
• Knowledge of road safety rules, vehicle maintenance, and cold chain handling.
• Ability to lift and move heavy loads when required.
• Strong time management, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
