Our Client,  a leading operator in the oil and gas sector, managing a state-of-the-art ammonia production facility. Our commitment to safety, innovation, and operational excellence has positioned us as an industry leader. We are now seeking an experienced DCS Panel Operator to join our dynamic operations team.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control ammonia plant operations via the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
• Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures in compliance with plant safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Analyse process data, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and operational targets.
• Coordinate with field operators, maintenance teams, and shift supervisors to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
• Conduct routine checks of critical parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow rates, and gas composition.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal situations promptly, documenting all incidents and actions taken.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, PSM (Process Safety Management), and environmental regulations.
• Participate in safety drills, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or HND in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10- 15 years of hands-on experience operating DCS systems in an ammonia plant or similar petrochemical facility.
• Proven experience with ammonia synthesis, reforming, compression, and refrigeration processes.
• Certification in DCS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson DeltaV, or Siemens PCS7) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of P&IDs, process control loops, and interlock systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Valid safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) preferred.
