Data Solution and Research Manager at VerifyMe

Position Overview

• The Data Solutions & Research Manager will work within the Data Operations team and be responsible for leading and growing a talented multi-disciplinary team of Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Researchers who will serve the whole company.
• The team will be responsible for delivering innovative internal/external data products and solutions that create value for the organization and customers using the volume of data that the company has acquired over the years as well as creating Advanced Analytics solutions for our customers.
• The Data Solutions & Research Manager will also lead internal and external research efforts including but not limited to strategy, data gathering, surveying and analysis centering around digital identity, KYC (Know Your Customer), open finance, blockchain and other topics which will drive adoption of VerifyMe's services and establish the company as a premier research and thought leader across Africa.

Responsibilities

• Data & Analytics Solutions: Works with internal business and operations teams to identify areas of technical needs for future Data & Analytics capabilities. Identifies and prioritizes business projects and enterprise data initiatives with a value-based mindset. Drives the development and deployment of centralized data, analytics, and reporting solutions with value enablement targets for the whole company
• Research Opportunities and Topics: Serves as a Research technical advisor. Exploring sectors, subject areas and innovative topics for further analysis and deep dive. Work with internal and external partners to research, author and publish world class research papers which we expect to present and submit to major journals, organizations, and conferences
• Identify Opportunities for New Data Products: Be a champion for the Data & Analytics services and related products. Collaborate within Data & Analytics Operations to drive common strategies and frameworks to ensure they become pervasive throughout the organization and help enable new value streams. Work with our product and development teams to look for opportunities to create external products using our massive trove of valuable data.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related discipline
• 5+ years of Data Analytics Leadership experience
• Previous experience managing multiple teams is preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in analyzing data from a variety of sources to identify key insights, pinpoint optimization opportunities, and inform product decisions.
• Extensive experience using remote communication tools and project management tools like Jira, and other project management tools as well as applying clear communication and collaboration practices to effectively engage teammates and stakeholders.
• Expertise in designing user-centric products and a strong product instinct with the ability to refine a list of vague, dense, undefined requirements and desires into actionable items for implementation.
• Experience working with senior management teams on business and technology solution prioritization and providing program updates
• A keen eye for detail.
