Our client, an innovative research and development company with trendsetting products in the education and health sector is seeking to recruit for the role of a Data ML Engineer to grow the business in line with the company's overall strategy of driving more customers and more user cases backed with a superlative learning experience.

The primary activities of the role will be evaluating existing data machine learning (ML) processes, performing statistical analysis to resolve data set problems, and enhancing the accuracy of our AI software's predictive automation capabilities.

 The ideal role holder should be a highly capable data engineer and a machine learning enthusiast to build data models and optimize various data pipelines of our data and machine learning systems, should demonstrate solid data science knowledge and experience in a related data engineering role.

Job Description:

• Having meetings with team members regarding projects.
• Collecting and interpreting data.
• Automating and integrating processes.
• Researching solutions to overcome data analytics challenges.
• Developing complex mathematical models that integrate business rules and requirements.
• Creating machine learning models.
• Communicating and meeting with engineers, IT teams, and other interested parties.
• Sharing complex ideas verbally and visually in an understandable manner with non-technical stakeholders.
• Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimizing existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
• Developing ML algorithms to analyze huge volumes of historical data to make predictions.
• Running tests, performing statistical analysis, and interpreting test results.
• Documenting machine learning processes.
• Keeping abreast of developments in machine learning.

Person Specification:

• A degree in Applied Mathematics or Statistics or engineering.
• Good coursework in data and machine learning and programming.
• Experience using data visualization tools.
• Experience with data querying languages, and statistical or mathematical software.
• Proficient in writing algorithms, and knowing when to apply them.
• Excellent understanding of statistics, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra.
• At least two years of experience as a data engineer.
• Proficiency with Python, Java, and R code writing.
• Good knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
• Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
