We are recruiting to fill the position of Data Engineers, who will provide essential support to our partners’ business operations, in terms of surface engineering, standards maintenance, system maintenance, performance monitoring systems installation, and scripting/automation tasks, with one position available in Angola, Congo, and Nigeria respectively.
The duration of this role is estimated and planned for 1 year, subject to further extension.
Responsibilities
Perform general surface engineering (1D, 2D, 3D) and transactional and monitoring ecosystems.
Maintain / monitor standards related to 1D/2D/3D.
Surface maintenance for transactional (basics).
Installation of Performance Monitoring Systems (basics).
Perform Scripting and Automation (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
Qualifications
5 years Higher education OR Engineering Degree, from a variety of sectors, but with a specialization in analysis and data processing
Very good communication & documentation skills.
Knowledge of operational data management
Knowledge of Cloud-based storage management (Azure, AWS) Awareness and understanding of data governance principles and data security practices, with ability to establish data policies and ensure data privacy and compliance.
Knowledge of PowerBI Desktop and basic functionalities, creation of reports.
Knowledge and experience with Excel, including creation of interactive reports and dashboards.
Expertise in PowerQuery and PowerPivot to collect clean and organize voluminous data.
Strong understanding of complex SQL queries and ability to write queries to retrieve data from relational databases, storage and retrieval of data.
Scripting and Automation (Python / PowerShell / etc.).
