Data Engineer (Hybrid) at Data2Bots

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our data team. The data engineer will work in a team with other Data Engineers to build ETL/ELT data pipelines and create fit-for-purpose datasets. 

PROFILE 

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, an engineering discipline or a related study.
• At least 2 years of professional IT industry experience.
• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 1 year of cloud computing experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficiency in ETL/ELT development using Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of Python data processing frameworks such as Pandas, PySpark.
• Good knowledge of Linux Bash Scripting and YAML Configurations.
• Good Knowledge of Software Development Standards, DevOps Practices, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with test-driven development and modular programming.
• Experience working with SQL-like database like PostgreSQL, MariaDB.
• Experience building Restful APIs and working with Docker Images.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP or AZURE).

SOFT SKILLS

• Basic knowledge of Agile Methodology and Scrum Rituals.
• Good team player but can work independently.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced technical environment.
• Energetic and motivated to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication skills in English – both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams members.
