Data and Digital Engineer at Western Development Company Limited (WDCL)

Job Purpose

The Data and Digital Engineer will translate business strategy into data-driven actions and digital solutions that deliver measurable business value. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports, building and supporting Power Apps solutions and automation workflows, and driving data analytics and digital transformation initiatives across the organization. The successful candidate will help foster a data-driven and automation-focused culture while delivering innovative solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data Platforms, Analytics & Digital Solutions

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to support operational and management reporting.
• Design, develop, and support Power Apps solutions and workflow automations to improve business processes.
• Support data acquisition, transformation, visualization, and reporting initiatives.
• Promote best practices in data management, governance, quality, and compliance.

Project Delivery

• Lead and support the implementation of data, analytics, automation, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to assess requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.

Technical Skills

• Power BI (Dashboard Development, Data Modelling, DAX, Reporting)
• Power Apps and workflow automation solutions
• Data modelling and data analysis
• SQL and database management
• Process automation and low-code development platforms
• Understanding of modern data platforms and cloud technologies

Supplementary Skills (Competitive advantage)

• Experience supporting or developing web applications using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Experience building or maintaining applications using MERN/Next.js
• Experience with REST APIs, system integrations, and mobile/web business applications.
• Experience supporting internally developed enterprise applications throughout their lifecycle.
