We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join the Divest team.
Someone who can turn data into decisions that drive product growth and financial performance.
You’ll work closely with the Product, Growth, and Engineering teams to uncover insights, measure impact, and help shape the direction of our products across Africa’s evolving fintech and crypto landscape.
You’ll be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple sources, product usage, transactions, customer behavior, and financial performance to help the team make data-driven decisions that improve user experience and profitability.
Job Expectations
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform product and business strategy.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key product and financial metrics (activation, retention, churn, margins, etc.).
Partner with Product Managers to define, monitor, and evaluate KPIs for product success.
Conduct cohort and funnel analysis to understand user behavior and conversion points.
Support A/B testing, product experiments, and post-launch performance reviews.
Collaborate with the finance and operations teams to connect product metrics with financial outcomes.
Present insights and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
Stay informed on analytics best practices, fintech performance metrics, and emerging product data tools.
Critical Competencies
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within fintech or product-led organizations.
Strong command of SQL and proficiency in at least one analytical tool (Python, R, or Excel). Preferably Python.
Experience using data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, or Google Data Studio.
Familiarity with analytics tools like Mixpanel, Firebase, Google Analytics, or Amplitude.
Solid understanding of financial metrics, product KPIs, and user journey analytics.
Strong communication skills, able to simplify data stories and influence decision-making.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
Excitement about fintech, crypto, and the role of data in driving financial innovation across Africa.
