Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled cybersecurity engineer specializing in Application Security to join our team.
• You will play a crucial role in safeguarding our technological assets by developing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures across our cloud and on-premises environments.
• The ideal candidate will serve as our go-to team member for security Incidents, Procedures, Policies and should have expertise in Zero Trust Architecture, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Threat Protection, Security Automation, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security assessments of applications through manual and automated testing. Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
• Design and implement security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications.
• Perform periodic penetration testing on applications to simulate real-world cyber-attacks and identify potential weaknesses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to response, investigate and resolve domain security incidents.
• Ensure applications and systems comply with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Deliver security training and Keep stakeholders informed about the latest security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.
• Manage and configure security tools for continuous monitoring and analysis of infrastructure and application security.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and industry trends to proactively address potential risks.

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Cyber Security professional or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of Information Security principles, practices, CV and an understanding of information security defence and intelligence frameworks
• Hands-on experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and cloud-based environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Ruby-on-Rails, JavaScript, building and consuming Application Program Interfaces (APIs)/micro-services would be great.
• Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, LPT, GPEN, CISSP or equivalent are a plus.
