TradeDepot is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Customer Acquisition Specialist to focus on acquiring and onboarding convenience stores for Special Projects in Nigeria.
The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the retail universe, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of driving customer acquisition in a B2B environment.
This role requires an individual who is self-driven and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will be responsible for:
Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential customer prospects and gain insights into market trends, competition, and opportunities.
Lead Generation: Develop and manage a robust pipeline of potential customer leads using various methods, including online research, cold calling, email outreach, and networking.
Customer Acquisition: Implement strategies to acquire new customers, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of the Special Project.
Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with store owners and decision-makers, ensuring top-notch customer service and addressing their specific needs.
Product Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of TradeDepot and Brands’ products and services, effectively conveying how they can add value to store owners.
Onboarding: Guide store owners through the onboarding process, ensuring a seamless transition onto the TradeDepot platform.
Targets and Reporting: Set ambitious acquisition targets and consistently track progress, challenges, and opportunities, providing regular reports to the management team.
Feedback Loop: Gather valuable feedback from store owners and relay it internally to contribute to the continuous improvement of Project offerings and services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Proven track record of successfully acquiring B2B customers, ideally in the convenience store or retail sector.
SME sales experience in a commercial, merchant or microfinance bank is a plus
Experience in developing and optimizing customer onboarding processes.
In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian convenience store market and distribution channels.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Goal-oriented with a history of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
Adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Willingness to travel within Nigeria as required.
Fluency in English and familiarity with local languages is a plus.
