Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging and innovative art lessons, projects, and activities across various art forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, music, dance, theater, or literature.
• Teach art history and cultural studies, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of different art movements, influential artists, and the cultural contexts in which art is created.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore their creativity, experiment with different artistic techniques, and express themselves through art.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their artistic skills, technique, and artistic development.
• Coordinate and organize art exhibitions, showcases, performances, or cultural events to provide students with opportunities to showcase their work and engage with the wider community.
• Collaborate with other educators, artists, cultural institutions, and community organizations to enhance students' artistic experiences and promote cultural awareness and diversity.
• Stay updated with current trends and practices in art education through professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
• At least 3 years work experience.
• Proven experience as an art educator, preferably in a classroom or community setting.
• Strong knowledge of various art forms, art history, and cultural studies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and skill levels.
• Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for arts education.
• Familiarity with instructional technologies and digital tools for art education is a plus.
