CRS & History Teacher at Total Child School

We are seeking a qualified, passionate, and student-centered CRS & History Teacher to join our secondary school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History while supporting students’ academic, moral, and character development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct class and subject teaching activities in line with approved teaching schemes, lesson plans, and school policies.
• Teach Christian Religious Studies (CRS) and History effectively using engaging and student-centered teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson notes, assignments, projects, class activities, tests, and examination materials in accordance with curriculum standards.
• Monitor students’ learning progress and provide feedback on the effectiveness and completeness of teaching plans and instructional methods.
• Identify students with special learning needs and liaise with the Remedial Teacher to develop appropriate support strategies.
• Maintain discipline in the classroom, apply approved sanctions for misdemeanors, and promptly escalate major disciplinary issues to the Sectional Head.
• Provide pastoral care and support the academic, moral, emotional, and social development of students.
• Grade students’ assignments, tests, projects, and examinations accurately and promptly.
• Monitor and report continuously on students’ academic performance, conduct, and achievements.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress and welfare where necessary.
• Promote positive values, ethical behavior, leadership, and responsible citizenship among students.
• Contribute positively to teamwork, collaboration, and a supportive school environment.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, school activities, trainings, and extracurricular programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of B.Ed./B.A. (Ed.) in Christian Religious Studies, History, Religious Studies, Education Arts, or related discipline.
• TRCN certification.
• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in a secondary school environment.
• Good knowledge of CRS and History curriculum.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to inspire students academically and morally.
