A Nigerian Maritime and Logistics company is currently looking to employ an Experienced Crewing Officer

Location: PortHarcourt, Rivers

Job Role

• ensure effective day to day crew operation and crewing support based on quality for each vessel and seafarer
• facilitate a good working environment and personal interaction between ship and shore
• Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, induction, training processes
• Support planning and crew operation of the vessels
• Ensure compliance with statutory, industry and business unit certifications as well as training requirements
• Visa and documentation handling
• Managing career development of the seafarers
• Performance reviews and follow up Desired Skills and Experience

Experience/Competence

• HND in Nautical or Marine Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Crewing
• Relevant Certifications and Trainings will be an advantage
• Working knowledge of STCW regulations
• Able to multitask and work well under pressure
• Ability to work in a friendly manner to standard operating procedures
• Ability to communicate competently
