Credit Risk Analyst at Vestates Limited

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate loan applications and assess the credit risk of potential borrowers using our proprietary credit scoring technology and other relevant tools.
• Monitor the credit risk of our loan portfolio, identifying trends and potential areas of concern.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential losses and maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
• Collaborate with data scientists and other team members to continuously improve our credit scoring algorithms and risk assessment processes.
• Prepare and present risk analysis reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in credit risk management, ensuring our approach remains up-to-date and effective.
• Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to credit risk management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in risk analysis, credit risk management, or a similar role, preferably within the financial services or agribusiness sector.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including experience with Excel and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
• Familiarity with credit scoring models and risk management strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
