    Credit Manager

    Role Overview 

    • We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager who would serve as the Head of Credit to oversee the performance and health of a growing customer portfolio within the renewable energy sector. This role is responsible for maximizing portfolio utilization, reducing defaults, managing collections and repossessions, and ensuring a seamless customer payments and service experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor and achieve targets related to portfolio utilization, default rates, repossessions, and customer service performance.
    • Analyze key portfolio metrics and prepare reports on portfolio health, identifying root causes of performance issues and recommending corrective actions.
    • Oversee collections and repossession processes to recover assets and support customers in returning to active usage while minimizing operational costs.
    • Act as the “voice of the portfolio”, ensuring that operational and sales teams maintain a strong focus on portfolio quality and sustainability.
    • Design and implement initiatives to improve portfolio performance, including campaigns that encourage timely customer payments and product usage.
    • Ensure a seamless payments experience by monitoring payment systems, coordinating with payment partners, and supporting customer education on payment channels.
    • Balance cost and quality in customer service, improving the customer experience across multiple channels such as call centers, service shops, and digital platforms.
    • Support the implementation and testing of new portfolio and customer service improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee and manage the Customer Support operations related to portfolio management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in credit risk management within banking, fintech, or lending institutions, including portfolio analysis and reporting to senior management; OR
    • 2+ years in a top-tier consulting environment with strong exposure to financial analytics and risk management.
    • Practical experience in delinquency management or collections operations is an advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of financial analysis tools, including credit risk modeling and portfolio analysis techniques.
    • Advanced Excel skills, with knowledge of statistical or analytical software considered an advantage.
    • Understanding of digital payment systems or banking regulations is desirable.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
