Daystar Power Group is looking to engage a competent Credit Controller, who will play a key role in overseeing the credit risk management processes at Daystar Power Group to ensure that the company's credit risk is minimized, and receivables are collected on time.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement the company’s credit risk management policies.
• Perform credit risk assessment on new clients and monitor credit risk behavior of existing clients.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Process client invoices and ensure they are submitted to the client on time.
• Conduct price reviews with clients on a timely basis.
• Monitor client’s receivables to ensure issues are proactively identified and escalated to management.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure payments are collected on time.
• Maintain a schedule of commercial agreements with clients and ensure that they are implemented.
• Reconcile client accounts and resolve any client issues or queries on time.
• Maintain detailed records of collection activities and correspondences.
• Ensure the receivables GL is regularly reconciled.
• Supervise and coach team members.

Requirements

Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines - Accounting, Finance, Economics.
• Chartered accounting qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years work experience in credit control with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position.

Language Proficiency:

• English (with good communication skills and accurate reporting skills).
