• We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team.
• The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses applying for loans or credit lines.
• The Credit Analyst will collaborate with various departments, conduct thorough credit investigations, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.

Responsibilities

• Assess the creditworthiness of loan applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant financial information
• Review loan applications and credit requests to determine the feasibility and risk associated with granting credit
• Perform comprehensive financial analysis, including cash flow projections, income statements, balance sheets, and ratio analysis.
• Conduct thorough credit investigations, verifying information provided by applicants and identifying potential risks
• Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings to the management team for review and decision-making
• Collaborate with sales and relationship management teams to understand customer needs and develop appropriate credit solutions
• Monitor and review existing credit accounts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external parties such as credit bureaus and legal advisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
• Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or similar role in the financial industry.
• In-depth knowledge of financial statements, credit analysis techniques, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound credit decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
• Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance related to lending and credit.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise judgment in assessing creditworthiness.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, Certified Credit Analyst (CCA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are advantageous.
