    Crane, HIAB & Payloader Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Crane, HIAB & Payloader Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of lifting and loading equipment, including cranes, HIAB trucks, and payloaders.
    • The role ensures adherence to safety regulations, optimal equipment utilization, operator supervision, and timely execution of lifting and material handling activities across project sites.

    Key Responsibilities
    Operational Supervision:

    • Supervise daily operations of cranes, HIAB trucks, and payloaders across sites.
    • Coordinate lifting and loading activities in line with project schedules.
    • Ensure proper deployment of equipment and operators based on workload priorities.

    Safety & Compliance:

    • Enforce strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and lifting procedures.
    • Conduct pre-operation safety checks and toolbox talks.
    • Ensure all lifting operations follow approved lifting plans and risk assessments.
    • Monitor adherence to safety standards and use of PPE.

    Equipment Management:

    • Oversee routine inspection, maintenance, and servicing of all equipment.
    • Ensure equipment certification and documentation are up to date.
    • Report faults promptly and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.

    Planning & Coordination:

    • Liaise with site engineers, logistics teams, and contractors to plan lifting operations.
    • Interpret lifting plans, load charts, and operational requirements.

    Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and operational activities.
    • Prepare incident reports, maintenance reports, and performance reports.
    • Track KPIs related to equipment efficiency and safety compliance.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify potential hazards in lifting and loading operations.
    • Implement corrective measures to prevent accidents or equipment damage.
    • Participate in incident investigations and recommend preventive actions.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Minimum of OND / HND / BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Valid certifications in crane/HIAB/payloader operations.
    • 3–5 years experience in heavy equipment operations.
    • Strong knowledge of lifting operations and load charts
    • Good understanding of HSE regulations and industry standards.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and site plans.
