Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counselor at Lily Hospitals, located in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The Counselor will be responsible for providing mental health support and guidance, conducting individual and group counseling sessions, assessing patient needs, and developing personalized care plans. Other responsibilities include offering crisis intervention, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining accurate records to ensure the highest standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and active listening
• Proficiency in counseling techniques, therapy planning, and crisis intervention skills
• Empathy, patience, and cultural competence for working with diverse populations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex mental health needs
• Must reside in Benin City, Edo state.
