Cost & Inventory Accountant at Sellafield Energy

I’m currently sourcing for a “COST & INVENTORY ACCOUNTANT” for one of clients that’s a downstream company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Candidate will be responsible for maintaining thorough and accurate documentation on inventory accounting and the timely recording and reconciliation of inventory accounts.
• Record and monitor inventory transactions on the ERP
• Perform monthly inventory valuation for the various company products including Lubricants
• Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures on inventory transactions
• Implement approved policies and procedures and recommend improvements to existing policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly analysis and reconciliation of all inventory related and other balance sheet accounts assigned by the due dates.
• Perform month and year end closing tasks as set in the closing time-tables and checklists

Requirement

• Min of First degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related course
• Professional accounting qualification e.g. ICAN, ACCA, with understanding of IFRS principles is preferred.
• Candidate must have Min of 2-4 years’ experience in accounts payable and general ledger accounting
• Two years’ experience with data entry on ERP (preferably SAP).
• Experience with basic Crystal report writing or data querying preferred
