Job Summary

• We seek a highly skilled and experienced part-time Corporate Lawyer to join our team.
• The successful candidate will provide legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and business transactions. 
• They will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s interests while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across all operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on corporate matters, business structures, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the company’s interests.
• Ensure compliance with corporate laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Support with specific projects such as ESOP, Trust. 
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Advise on intellectual property rights, data protection laws, and employment law as applicable.
• Monitor changes in legislation and industry regulations to mitigate legal risks.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments, including finance, human resources, and operations, to provide comprehensive legal support.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and government agencies as necessary.
• Assist in developing corporate policies, governance frameworks, and risk management strategies.
• Conduct legal research and prepare reports, memos, and opinions on various corporate legal matters.

Rquirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and Admission to the Bar with a specialization in Corporate Law. Additional areas of expertise are a plus.
• Proven experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably in a corporate or law firm environment, with a minimum of 7 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and Google Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a remote setting.
• Must have excellent Internet connection, technology tools for remote work, and ability to adjust work hours to Central Standard Time (Between 9 am - 5 pm Central Standard Time).
