The Contract Engineer will be responsible for tenders dealing with all technical, commercial and estimating activities associated with Client's tender requirements and all associated subcontract and supplier requirements from receipt of tender enquiry through to contract award and consequent handover to operations.
Responsible for Technical and commercial delivery of proposals / Tenders for all assigned Tenders.
Thoroughly review Tender Documents which includes Design Documents, Drawings, Specifications, Data Sheets, Calculations etc. and Clearly define the scope of Project
Performing a technical evaluation of tender documentation, organising tender kick-off meetings with internal stakeholders and determining a plan of approach for allocated tenders.
Performing a contractual evaluation of assigned tenders and drafting qualifications on contractual, legal, commercial, financial, taxation and insurance implications and obligations
Liaising with other departments on technical input required, drafting bid documentation for the assigned tenders, including technical solution, planning schedule and pricing.
Prepare Technical submittals as per Bid / Tender requirements which includes (but not limited to) methods, plans, organization, implementation strategies, specialized method statements and commissioning plants etc.
Prepare and raise pre-tender queries etc and coordinate with owner department and/or client for clarification
Development of alternative technical proposals as and where required
Involve in all post tender activities till contract award including (but no limited to ) attendance on meeting with clients /consultants, clarification of post tender queries, techno commercial negotiation
Manage Tender status report with progress on each assigned tender, while maintaining communication with client interface.
Striving for continuous improvement regarding the tendering process and deploying best practice.
Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in an engineering or technical discipline
Excellent command of English Language both written and spoken
3 years of relevant working experience especially in a drilling or and EPC company
Experience with MS office suite including MS project
