    Content Strategist / Content Developer

    Job Summary

    • The Content Strategist/Developer is responsible for planning, creating, and executing compelling content that strengthens the brand’s identity, drives engagement, supports product launches, and contributes to business growth. This role combines creative storytelling with strategic thinking to produce content across digital and offline channels while ensuring consistency in the brand’s voice and messaging.

    Key Responsibilities

    Content Strategy

    • Develop and execute a monthly and quarterly content strategy aligned with business objectives.
    • Build content calendars for campaigns, product launches, seasonal promotions, and brand initiatives.
    • Identify content opportunities based on market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity.
    • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s tone of voice and visual identity.

    Creative Direction

    • Develop creative briefs for designers, photographers, videographers, influencers, and content creators.
    • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure content execution matches the intended strategy.
    • Participate in shoot planning and content production.

    Social & Digital Content

    • Plan content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
    • Recommend content formats such as Reels, UGC, tutorials, testimonials, educational content, and trend-based videos.
    • Repurpose long-form content into multiple platform-specific assets.

    Product & Campaign Marketing

    • Develop messaging for new product launches.
    • Translate product features into clear consumer benefits.
    • Support influencer campaigns with key messaging and content direction.
    • Create content that drives awareness, engagement, and sales.

    Performance & Optimization

    • Monitor content performance using analytics.
    • Recommend improvements based on engagement, reach, conversions, and audience insights.
    • Conduct A/B testing for headlines, captions, and campaign messaging where appropriate.

    Research

    • Stay up to date with:
    •  Beauty industry trends
    •  Social media trends
    •  Consumer behaviour
    •  Competitor activities
    •  Emerging content formats
    • Provide creative recommendations backed by insights.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Engagement rate across digital platforms.
    • Content delivered on schedule.
    • Quality and consistency of brand messaging.
    • Growth in social media reach and audience engagement.
    • Campaign performance against objectives.
    • Website/blog traffic generated from content.
    • Contribution to product launch success.
    • Improvement in content-driven conversions.
    • Efficiency in content planning and execution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in content strategy, copywriting, or digital content creation.
    • Experience in the beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG industry is an advantage.

    Required Skills

    • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.
    • Strong understanding of content marketing and brand strategy.
    • Knowledge of social media best practices.
    • Creative thinking and idea generation.
    • SEO fundamentals.
    • Project management and organizational skills.

    • Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools is an advantage.
