Construction Store Keeper at El Sabio Development Limited

Job Overview

The purpose of this role is, but not limited to:

• Ensure efficient management, storage, and tracking of construction materials, tools, and equipment across project sites.
• Maintain accurate inventory records while supporting site operations through timely issuance and control of materials to ensure productivity and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Maintain organized storage systems for materials, tools, and equipment.
• Issue materials to site personnel and maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date inventory records (manual and/or digital).
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate re-order requests when necessary.
• Ensure proper handling and storage to prevent damage, loss, or theft.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
• Prepare and submit inventory and usage reports to management.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Inventory Accuracy Rate: ≥ 98% alignment between physical stock and records.
• Stock Reconciliation Efficiency: Timely resolution of discrepancies within 48 hours.
• Material Availability Rate: ≥ 95% availability of required materials when requested.
• Loss / Damage Rate: Maintain material loss below 2% monthly.
• Reporting Timeliness: 100% submission of weekly and monthly inventory reports on schedule.
• Store Organization & Compliance: Consistent adherence to safety and storage standards.

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

• Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Additional certification in inventory or warehouse management is an advantage.

Experience Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proven experience in inventory management and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with construction materials, tools, and equipment is essential.
