Construction Site Interpreter at Nine Stars Limited

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time interpretation between different language-speaking workers, supervisors, and engineers.
• Translate technical documents, safety protocols, and project reports accurately.
• Ensure that workers fully understand site instructions, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Assist in meetings, negotiations, and site briefings by providing clear translations.
• Act as a bridge between management and labourers to enhance teamwork and productivity.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in translations.
• Help resolve language-related misunderstandings that may affect project progress.

Requirements

• Must be Fluent in Chinese and English (Yoruba or any other Nigeria major language is a plus)
• Previous experience in interpretation/translation, preferably in the construction or engineering sector.
• Understanding of construction terminology and technical vocabulary.
• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and construction site procedures is an advantage.
