Job Summary

• LinkOrgNet, a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP), is looking for a Company Lawyer to join our innovative team.
• The Company Lawyer at Linkorg Network Limited is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and guidance, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while protecting the company’s interests.
• This role involves advising on various legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, intellectual property, and dispute resolution.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Reviewing contracts on behalf of the company.
• Drafting up terms and conditions of company product.
• Watching leads for company in court of law in any court case.
• Representing company at the court of law.
• Ensure the company complies with its statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.
• Develop and oversee the systems that ensure the company complies with all applicable codes, in addition to its legal and statutory requirements.
• Provide expert legal advice to senior management on various legal matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, labour law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure the company’s operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree (LL.M) is an advantage.
• Must be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice law in Nigeria (e.g., called to bar).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate legal environment; experience in telecommunications is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian telecommunications laws and regulations.
• Excellent negotiation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex legislation and contracts.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software applications.
