Job Summary / Role Description

• He executes the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health/environmental/safety regulations, and following the stated procedures.
• He reports to the Commissioning Machinery Supervisor.
• He is assigned to the Project by the Commissioning Head of Department

Duties and Responsibilities
His main responsibilities are:

• To implement the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for rotary equipment.
• Execute with the assigned crew from the Sub Contractor all the activities pertaining to the discipline.
• Ensure effective utilization of commissioning manpower and consumables.
• Ensure the execution of Vendor’s specialists’ field activities with the assigned resources from the Sub Contractor as per Vendor’s representative plan.
• Carry out the equipment inspection with Client representative as per the procedures and ensure proper certification is produced.
• Prepare the forms for all the tests to be performed and ensure submission of the certificates, duly signed by involved parties for final handover to the certification engineer (QA/QC).
• Coordinate in field with the vendor representatives.
• Keep a record of all the activities carried out.
• Ensuring the safety practices are strictly followed during the execution of activities.
• Reporting the progress and constraints to the Mechanical Supervisor.
• Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit-To-Work according to the project Permit-To-Work Procedure.
• Assistance to supervisor for:
  • Expediting of pending Punch List Items in accordance with Commissioning Manager (CMM) priorities;
  • Coordination and supervision of Construction support activities during the performance of the pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications:

• University Degree or equivalent Study background.

Experience:

• Management experience for an EPC company in for, at least, two plants as a Commissioning Machinery Assistant (Rotating).
• Experience in Rotating equipment for Utilities & Offsites plants for the gas treatment.
