Commercial Teacher at QEFAS Preparatory School

Description

• We are seeking a dedicated educator with a deep understanding of commercial subjects to shape student comprehension and prepare them for local examinations like UTME and WAEC.
• The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing the understanding of these subjects for our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the Nigerian curriculum for commercial subjects Economics,and Commerce.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to the varying needs and abilities of students.
• Deliver high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods including lectures, discussions, hands-on activities. (Virtually and In Person)
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching tools to enhance learning experiences.
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement, implementing effective classroom management strategies.
• Address student behavior and academic concerns in a professional and supportive manner.
• Stay current with developments in the field of education and commercial subjects.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices.
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events as required.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Masters, PhD in a Business or related field (e.g., Accounting, Economics).
• Teaching qualification/certification preferred.
• Proven experience teaching commercial subjects at the secondary school, colleges or universities level.
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian educational curriculum and assessment methods.
• Proficiency in using educational technology platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Proximity to Akowonjo, Lagos, ensuring timely arrival for teaching duties.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school community.
