    Commercial Manager

    Main Purpose of Job:

    • The Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing all projects of Dutum and monitor plans to ensure deadlines are met, projects stay within budget and work is up to standard.
    • You are also tasked with the responsibility of managing your direct reports effectively.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

    • Experience 7 years and above of work experience in a similar role

    Key Duties /Responsibilities

    • Analyze project budgets and make improvements to ensure project sustainability
    • Development of financial plans including budgeting and forecasting for the short and long term
    • Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts
    • Driving efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget
    • Partnering with business managers to drive financial performance
    • Supporting the sales and marketing department by conducting analysis of commercial opportunities
    • Preparing models to assess future profitability, revenue, and pricing
    • Conduct site inspections and hold discussions with key supervisors
    • Provide periodic updates and forecast project futures, identifying costsaving opportunities
    • Undertake measurements of sites and buildings to ensure it conforms to the plan
    • Visit sites to ensure sub-contractors are conforming to plans
    • Ensure costs, payment, and technical specification clauses are accurately and appropriately drafted
    • Plan procurement and tendering strategy
    • Prepare Bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents
    • Evaluate the quantity and costs of materials required, the labor hours needed, and track progress payments
    • Facilitate collaboration and communication amongst team member
    • Any other duties that may be assigned to you by Management.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualification

    • B.Sc. In QuantitySurveying/Engineering/Management or similar Related Discipline from an accredited University.
    • M.Sc. Degree in a Quantity Surveying related field
