    Collection Supervisor

    Job Summary

    • The Collection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the collections team, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding debts, reducing delinquency rates, and maintaining positive customer relationships while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of collection officers.
    • Monitor collection performance and ensure recovery targets are achieved.
    • Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies.
    • Review overdue accounts and assign collection activities appropriately.
    • Prepare and submit collection reports to management.
    • Handle escalated customer complaints and negotiate payment arrangements.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
    • Train, coach, and evaluate collection team members.
    • Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
    • Collaborate with other departments to resolve account-related issues.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND with 2–5 years of experience in debt collection, credit control, or accounts receivable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
    • Reference letter from current place of work.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Knowledge of collection laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
