CNG Operations Supervisor (Idokpa, Edo State) at Sunbeth Global Concepts (SGC)

To supervise and coordinate the daily operational activities of the CNG daughter station, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted supply and dispensing of CNG in accordance with established procedures.

Job Details

• Supervises and coordinates the activities of all CNG Dispenser operators on the forecourt
• Conducts regular site inspections to verify that operations are carried out safely and in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensures all operational logs, shift reports, employee attendance records are accurately maintained and up to date.
• Coordinates with the maintenance team to report equipment faults promptly and support routine and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Enforces strict adherence to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and permit-to-work systems.
• Trains and mentors CNG dispenser operators on safe handling procedures, emergency response, and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of an HND or first degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Petroleum/Gas), or a related technical discipline. A National Diploma (OND) with substantial relevant experience may be considered.
• 3 years of experience in CNG, LPG, natural gas or fuel station operations, including at least 1 year supervising operators or attendants.
• Valid training in gas handling safety, fire-fighting and first aid is required. NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Working Safely or Managing Safely, or equivalent, is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of CNG dispensing and decanting processes, high-pressure gas hazards, and emergency response procedures.
• Practical experience applying SOPs, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to maintain accurate operational logs, shift reports and attendance records, with proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Ability to recognize equipment faults early and report them clearly to the maintenance team.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach and supervise forecourt operators, including on customer service standards.
• Shift flexibility and willingness to work in a hazardous-area environment.
