    CNC Operator and Quality Control

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Responsible for operating the Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) router machine. Operates a router to cut wood parts for applications. Monitors the quality of incoming raw materials to the organization and the production phase. Ensure that our products meet the specified quality standards set by the organization before being delivered to clients.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Production of furniture parts using the CNC machine.
    • Responsible to use a CNC router to cut wood parts into straight cut dimensions and pattern-cuts.
    • Follows patterns with non-stop cutting of CNC router blade.
    • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
    • Your goal is to produce high quality parts and materials for furniture production by programming machines to perform the right operations.
    • Reads instruction and production sheets to complete daily production goals.
    • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as cutting, milling, drilling, engraving and routers of doors, interior designs and other wood/furniture products.
    • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
    • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
    • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.
    • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
    • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.
    • Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
    • Provide timelines for clients.
    • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
    • Accurate interpretation of technical drawings.
    • Keeping records of production activities.
    • Routine maintenance of the CNC machine.
    • Ensure and maintain quality standard of produced parts and inspection requirements.
    • Assembling of furniture items.
    • Responsible for keeping the CNC work environment safe in accordance with Company Safety practices.

    QUALITY CONTOL

    • Constant monitoring of production phase of all our products at various levels.
    • Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.
    • Take a thorough look at the plans, specifications and blueprints to understand all products requirements.
    • Devise and review specifications for all Agor Homes products and its processes.
    • Set requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.
    • Inspect incoming raw materials and procured items/tools and reject ones that didn’t meet quality expectations and report issue to the concerned department.
    • Resolving quality related issues and adhering to deadlines.
    • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.
    • Oversee all Agor Homes product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.
    • Inspect final output and compare furniture quality to requirements.
    • Approve the right products or reject defectives.
    • Solicit feedback from customers through Project Managers and sales team to assess customer satisfaction. whether their requirements are met.
    • Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards .
    • Monitor production to ensure good finishing of all our products.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering
    • 3 years’ Experience in CNC furniture machine operator.
    • Previous work experience in a furniture manufacturing company.
    • Experience using a CNC machine.
    • Proficiency in the use of MS Word
    • & Excel
    • Written and oral communication skills
    • Problem-solving and Innovative skills

    • Mechanical and good Math Skills
    • Creativity and critical thinking
    • CNC Programming
    • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD/2D/3D
    •   Proficiency in the use of Cam/Art Cam
    • Quality Control/Assurance
    • Interior Design
    • Process Protocol & Process control
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
    • Leadership and effective management skills
    • Must have a professional workplace background and good has strong work ethics.
