    Client Technical Support Engineer

    Job Summary

    • Assist end-users with questions about any of our supported software and computing platforms in a professional and courteous manner

    Job Responsibilities

    • Respond to user requests and queries, determining root causes of issues, addressing concerns, and managing systems/data permissions to ensure users have proper access to approved resources.
    • Identify opportunities for improvements and enhancements, gather user feedback, learn new technologies and platforms as identified by the architecture roadmap, and provide recommendations.
    • Monitor the performance of clients’ desktop infrastructure and device plans for improved efficiency
    • Install applications and computer peripherals
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a variety of environments
    • Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
    • Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
    • Assist in software releases and rollouts according to change management best practices.

    Education and Experience

    • University education in Computer Science, information Systems or related Field or equivalent experience/education
    • 5 + years of proven working experience in a similar role with a strong technical knowledge of current network and client operating systems, hardware, protocols, and standards
    • ITIL or other standard IT support certifications are a definite asset
    • A+ certification, considered an asset.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Proficient knowledge and working experience with Windows OS, cloud platforms like AD/O365
    • In-depth working experience with implementation and administration experience with IT support desk tools and remote-control software
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills along with solid skills in verbal and written communication
    • An enquiring mind with the ability to think outside the box and search for answers.
    • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Must be highly organized with great attention to detail and providing quality customer service
