    Class Teacher (Primary Section)

    Job Description

    • We are recruiting for the position of a Class Teacher (Primary Section). The ideal candidate must be a specialist in teaching English Language and should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about their role, and share a passion for learning themselves.

    The job functions include but not limited to the following:

    • Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum
    • Taking responsibility for the progress of a class of primary-age pupils
    • Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment
    • Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class
    • Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
    • Preparing and marking work to facilitate positive pupil development
    • Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development
    • Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings
    • Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area.

    Requirements

    • The preferred candidate must have a minimum of a B. Ed or B.sc in English Language or its equivalent with PDE and TRCN.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience.
    • Must possess strong practical knowledge and skills in delivering lessons to students
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
    • Be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and be able to demonstrate a genuine care for young children.
    • Must have good knowledge of both the British and Nigerian curricula.
    • Ability to utilize technology in the teaching and learning process
