Civil / Structural Engineer at Primestix Construction Limited

Position Overview

• Primestix Construction is seeking a talented and motivated Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about engineering, possess strong technical skills, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in structural design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various real estate projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering teamand other stakeholders to develop cost-effective and sustainable structural solutions that meet project objectives.
• Conduct site inspections and evaluations to assess structural integrity, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and risk assessments to optimize project performance and minimize construction delays.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil and structural engineering to enhance the quality and efficiency of our projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
• Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, and SAFE, as well as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with green building principles and sustainable design practices.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology and workflows.
• Project management experience and/or certification (PMP, CAPM, etc.).
