Civil Engineer at Matosi Nigeria Limited

Role Summary

• Execute civil engineering works across diverse project sites.
• You'll handle design interpretation, site supervision, structural analysis, and coordination with other disciplines to deliver quality infrastructure on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret civil/structural drawings and translate them into executable site activities.
• Supervise civil works including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, drainage, and road construction.
• Conduct site surveys, setting out, and quality inspections to ensure work meets design specifications.
• Prepare material take-offs, method statements, and technical reports for civil scope.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and other engineering disciplines on site.
• Support Quantity Surveyors with measurement, variation assessments, and interim valuations.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
• Travel to urban and remote project locations as required.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years of hands-on civil engineering experience in Nigeria with demonstrated site delivery.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods: reinforced concrete, structural steel, earthworks, and drainage systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools).
• Ability to read and interpret structural and civil engineering drawings.

Strong Advantages

• COREN registration or progress toward it.
• Experience with oil & gas/EPC projects or other regulated environments.
• Tendering experience: BoQ take-off, pricing, and bid documentation.
