    The Chocolate Spread Process Operator plays a vital role in the production of chocolate spreads by operating and maintaining equipment, monitoring production processes, and adhering to strict quality and safety standards.     Responsibilities

    Equipment Operation:

    • Operate and control various machines and equipment used in the production of chocolate spreads, including mixers, conveyors, pumps, and packaging machinery.
    • Ensure all equipment is set up and calibrated correctly for each production run.

    Quality Control:

    • Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products, conducting regular checks for consistency, taste, texture, and appearance.
    • Make adjustments to processes or equipment as needed to maintain product quality.

    Ingredient Handling:

    • Accurately measure and weigh ingredients, following specific recipes and formulas.
    • Handle and store raw materials, such as cocoa, sugar, and dairy products, in accordance with food safety guidelines.

    Process Monitoring:

    • Monitor the production process, including temperature, mixing time, and flow rates.
    • Troubleshoot and address any issues or deviations from standard operating procedures.

    Safety and Hygiene:

    • Adhere to strict safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
    • Follow food safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.

    Record Keeping:

    • Maintain accurate production records, including batch logs, equipment maintenance records, and inventory counts.
    • Report any production discrepancies or quality issues to supervisors.

    Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it operates efficiently and safely.
    • Notify maintenance personnel of any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other team members, including supervisors, quality control inspectors, and packaging personnel, to ensure smooth production processes.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

    • Monitor and optimize the production process to maximize output while minimizing waste.

    • Perform quality checks at various stages of the production process to ensure product consistency and adherence to quality standards.
    • Take corrective actions when deviations or defects are identified.
    • Implement quality improvement initiatives.

    Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Report and address safety hazards and incidents promptly.
    • Promote a safety-conscious culture among team members.

    Equipment Maintenance:

    • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment and machinery to ensure their proper functioning.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns for timely repairs.
    • Maintain records of maintenance activities.

    Inventory Management:

    • Monitor and manage raw material and ingredient inventory levels.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
    • Minimize inventory wastage and spoilage.

    Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve the Choco spread production process, such as reducing production costs or improving product quality.
    • Collaborate with the production team to implement process enhancements.

    Record Keeping and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate production records, including batch records, production logs, and quality control reports.
    • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements for regulatory purposes.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with colleagues and team members to ensure smooth production operations.
    • Provide training and guidance to new employees or team members as needed.

    Hygiene and Sanitation:

    • Ensure that all production areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
    • Follow hygiene and sanitation protocols to meet food safety standards.

    Cost Management:

    • Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising product quality.
    • Implement cost-saving measures when applicable.

    Environmental Sustainability:

    • Promote environmentally responsible practices in production, such as reducing energy consumption and waste generation.
    • Participate in sustainability initiatives if applicable.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Stay updated on relevant food safety and production regulations.
    • Ensure that production processes adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements.

    The Person·       

    •  A Bachelor's (B.Sc. / HND) degree in chemistry or Food Science is required for this role.
    • Previous experience in food production or a similar manufacturing environment is often preferred.
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
    • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Physical fitness to handle lifting and standing for extended periods.
