Chief Technology Officer at A Renowned Company

A renowned company in the financial services industry specialized in the use of technology for revenue collection and management requires the
service of the following personnel who must be highly skilled and experienced.
Job Objectives
Work with the executive management of the Company and the subsidiaries on the development of the Group IT Strategy
Responsible and accountable for the technology direction of the group
Act as an advisor to the group with respect to new/innovative IT services and solutions
Liaise with executive management of the Company and the subsidiaries to establish and champion the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for the group
Work with executive management of the Company and the subsidiaries to ensure development and delivery of IT services to meet client needs
Supervises: 

• Managing Director/ Head Technology, ICSL
• Managing Director/ Head Technology, ACDS
• Senior Manager, Strategy & Architecture
• Senior Manager, Programme & Performance Management
• Principal Specialist, Security & Risk Management
• Manager, Commercial Services
• Senior Officer, Service Management

Job Responsibilities 

• Execute architecture and implement security policies and standards within the organisation
• Manage demands and client relationships within organisation
• Accountable for execution of client applications
• Ensure appropriate service integration and manage own interaction with operational suppliers
• Translate the client strategy into technology strategy for the Company
• Ensure effective management of risks and compliance with policies and standards
• Analyse the Company client operations and effectively plan for its technology needs
• Provide technology guidance to Executive Management
• Establish and direct the strategic and tactical goals, policies and procedures for the Company
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Company
• Overall responsibility over all IT Infrastructure services provided to internal and external clients
• Manage IT-client relationship driving technology investments in the organisation
• Approve strategic supplier / vendor contract negotiation
• Establish and provide personal sponsorship to technology

Key Performance Indicators

• Optimized infrastructure (measurement is against previous measurement / baseline)
• Efficient staffing. Factors to consider include:
• IT staff turnover rate
• Open positions negatively impacting projects / IT operations
• Overstaffing 
• Value and cost management:
• IT spend / employee
• IT expense as a % of sales
• % of successful solution implementations
• Timely response times (as per SLAs agreed with the client)

Competence Requirements

• Work experience in multiple industries/markets and on a variety of client problems. Global work experience is an added advantage
• Knowledge of local market and client practices
• Expert knowledge of IT Strategy and Transformation
• Proven track record of leading and sponsoring successful transformation programmes
• Strong understanding of IT services and service readiness 
• Proven negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong communication skills (oral and written)
• Excellent co-ordination skills 
• English (proficiency in other main languages is a plus)

Specification/Qualification

• Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas
• Possession of the following certifications is recommended: ITIL Foundation, Prince2 or PMP, TOGAF and CGEIT
• Greater than 20 years of functional experience
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience
