Responsibilities

• The Chief Security Officer is the Head of Unit (HoU) responsible to the Chief Medical Director / CEO for day-to-day running of the Security Unit. 
• Also, the Chief Security Officer shall advise on the formulation, execution and review of policies and programmes relating to Security needs of the Hospital and will also serve as the liaison officer of the Hospital with other security agencies. 
• Also, the Chief Security Officer will be overseeing the activities and performance of the Outsource Security Service providers of the Hospital.
• Perform such other functions as the Chief Medical Director may from time to time assign to him/her.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a good honours degree in Criminology / Security or equivalent. 
• Applicants that are retired as Officers from the Nigeria Police, Military or Civil Defence, not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent will have added advantage
• Must possess membership of relevant Professional bodies on security matters
• Candidates must have at least Ten (10) years cognate working experience at Managerial level in any reputable establishment preferably in a tertiary Health Institution.
• Candidates must exhibit strong security knowledge
• Candidates must exhibit evidence of strong administrative and leadership qualities.

Salary and Conditions of Service

• Salary and conditions of service shall be in accordance with the Public Service salary structure for this category of officers.
