    Chief Security Officer (CSO)

    Description 

    • The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the security strategy for the organization, ensuring the protection of personnel, assets, and operations.
    • With a military background, strong communication skills, and extensive industry experience, the CSO will play a critical role in mitigating risks, enforcing security policies, and fostering a culture of safety and vigilance in the manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    Security Strategy & Risk Management:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols tailored to the manufacturing industry.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and areas for improvement.
    • Develop crisis management and emergency response plans to address security breaches, workplace violence, and other critical incidents.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international security regulations and industry best practices.

    Physical & Operational Security:

    • Oversee the protection of company facilities, equipment, and raw materials from theft, vandalism, and sabotage.
    • Coordinate with plant managers and production teams to enhance security measures in manufacturing and storage areas.
    • Implement access control systems, surveillance technologies, and perimeter security solutions.
    • Lead investigations into security breaches, fraud, or other incidents and take appropriate corrective actions.

    Personnel & Workforce Security:

    • Develop and enforce security training programs for employees to promote awareness and compliance.
    • Foster strong relationships with law enforcement, military, and emergency response teams for rapid response to threats.
    • Implement workplace violence prevention programs and employee protection measures.

    Cybersecurity & Information Protection:

    • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure robust protection of company data, intellectual property, and digital assets.
    • Establish protocols to prevent cyber threats, including phishing, hacking, and insider threats.
    • Conduct regular audits to assess vulnerabilities in security systems and implement necessary enhancements.

    Leadership & Communication:

    • Lead a team of security personnel, including security officers, supervisors, and contracted security firms.
    • Provide regular reports and briefings to executive leadership on security status, risks, and incident reports.
    • Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from factory workers to senior executives.
    • Build a security-conscious culture through leadership, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of security experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing or industrial environments.
    • Military Background: Strong leadership experience in the military, with expertise in strategic security planning and operations.
    • Certifications: Relevant security certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional), PSP (Physical Security Professional), or CISSP (for cybersecurity knowledge) are a plus.
    • Technical Skills: Knowledge of security technology, surveillance systems, risk assessment tools, and emergency response planning.
    • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey security protocols clearly across diverse teams.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
    • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of security risks and challenges in manufacturing, including supply chain security and industrial espionage.
