As the Chief Mechanic (Diesel Engines), you will oversee the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of diesel-powered trucks and equipment while ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and effective supervision of mechanical operations.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across trucks and heavy-duty equipment
Supervise mechanical activities and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed
Conduct routine inspections to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency
Manage repair records, parts usage, and report major faults or replacement needs
Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper handling of mechanical tools and equipment
Requirements
Minimum of SSCE or Technical/Vocational certification in Automobile or Diesel Mechanics
Minimum of 4 years experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles
Relevant certification in Diesel/Heavy-Duty Mechanics is an advantage
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repairs
Good leadership, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning skills.
