Chief Financial Officer at ResourcePRO

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and expansion plans.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team and board of directors to drive business decisions and maximize shareholder value.
• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and regulatory filings.
• Manage the company's cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales, operations, and procurement, to optimize financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff to support the company's objectives.
• Identify and evaluate strategic investment opportunities, mergers, and acquisitions to support business growth and diversification.
• Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, investors, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
• Proven experience as a Chief Financial Officer or senior finance executive in an FMCG company or related industry.
• Strong understanding of financial management principles, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting, accounting, and treasury.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and mitigate financial risks.
• Knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• 10-15 years of finance/ accounting experience
