    Chief Financial Officer

    The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership, overseeing all financial planning, risk management, reporting, and compliance functions. The role ensures the organization maintains sustainable growth, financial integrity, and shareholder value, while supporting operational and investment decisions.    
    Leadership

    • Effectively manage the accounting team through respectful communication, clear expectations, relevant training, productive coaching, regular meetings, and appropriate performance management.
    • Develop and maintain a system of standard operating policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities.
    • Advise the GMD and Board on financial performance, market trends, and business opportunities. 

    Daily Financial Operations

    • Resolution of all billing-related disputes.
    • Analyze Accounts Payable, Receivable on a weekly basis.
    • Review all ledger details e.g. guest ledger, and deposit ledgers to validate proper payment and revenue posting.
    • Review all postings, payments, revenue, and guest balance reports daily.
    • Ensuring that cash flows are adequate to allow business units to operate effectively.
    • Maintain banking relationships and negotiated loans and merchant services for business units.
    • Maintaining and transferring money between bank accounts as required.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze financial reports for the management’s team.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Develop and manage the annual budgets for the Group
    • Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis.

    Cost Control:

    • Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses.
    • Analyze operational costs and identify areas for improvement.

    Financial Planning:

    • Collaborate with the different subsidiaries to develop financial plans that will align with organizational goals.
    • Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
    • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate finance transactions

    Financial Analysis:

    • Track profit/loss performance by business unit (e.g. Preparation of Monthly Business segment profitability).
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic initiatives. 
    • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    Requirement

     

    • First bachelor’s degree/HND in Accounting or related discipline
    • Possession of an MBA or equivalent will be an added advantage. 
    • Minimum of 15 years relevant post-graduation experience with 5 years being in a senior position.
    • Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CFA or equivalent) is required

    Technical

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial reporting standards. 
    • Expertise in corporate finance, treasury management, and investment analysis.
    • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling. 
    • Strong grasp of risk management frameworks and internal controls. 
    • Knowledge of tax laws, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
    • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising activities. 
    • Data analysis and interpretation for decision support.  

    Non-Technical

    Excellent leadership and man management skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
    • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
    • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making

    SALARY EXPECTATION: N1,000,000 - 1,500,000 MONTHLY
